phlegm, ahahaha.
Spoilers.
Okay, so. Dumbledore. Dying. At this point of the novel I was just a mess. I was all like, 'WHAT WILL HARRY DO NOW', 'BUT HARRY DOESN'T KNOW EVERYTHING YET, RIGHT?', 'DUDE, THIS IS BAD' and 'EVERYONE IS GOING TO DIE, THANKS' all in the middle of crying and flailing and so on. Seriously, though, what the hell! I knew he was doing all this shit but DIE, come on, man. I was totally missing the annual end-of-year Dumbledore/Harry pep talk! COME ON, MAN. And who the hell will Harry have to confide in, now. Just great.
Throughout the book, though, I thought Dumbledore was acting weird. You know that whole part where he's all like, "Did you really think, Harry, that you would never be who you are if you hadn’t heard the prophecy?" (Or something like that). That was a bit odd, I think Well, I just never expected Dumbledore to be all frustrated. Anyway, I miss you, Big D.
Harry/Ginny fans = AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Their relationship was a complete bore. They didn't DO anything apart from hang around the lake. Man, I've hated H/G since forever. Ginny, I adore. I think she's great, well, I loved in CoS anyway. But H/G makes me gag. R/HR, also. Sorry dudes. I just don't like seeing this whole future of double-dates and children-going-to-school-together. Personally, I think no one should go out with anyone within that friendship group. It's like royal in-breeding = it may work, but it's WEIRD.
I am really hating Draco Malfoy. Well, I think it's really interesting how he's evil but his cowardice mixed with arrogance is just damn annoying. Hilarious how Crabe and Goyle were polyjuiced into girls, though.
Harry, Harry, Harry. I was expecting for him to be much more WHINY in this book. I was quite looking forward to CAPITAL LETTERS but I was soon disappointed. His "chosen one" title was pretty funny and it was so cute how he was made quidditch captain. However, his nature of jumping to conclusions got really frustrating because I simply was NOT believing them. And he did them just so often. It was like, ARRGH JUST RUN FASTER AND MANAGE TO LISTEN TO WHOLE CONVERSATIONS NEXT TIME.
Bill and Fleur. Aw. Lupin and Tonks. Aw. Absence of Lupin. Not cool. I was desperate to see him more.
Half-Blood Prince! I absolutely loved Harry's potions text book! I don't know why but just the idea of getting a book where everything is there is fab. And then finding out it was Snape! The way we found out was weird and a bit dramatic - "It was I who invented them! I, the Half Blood Prince!" but, you know, cool. That spell, Sectusempra, was pretty awesome but I honestly was taken-a-back with the result of the spell. Kind of disturbing. I was also touched how Harry was pretty mortified himself and said that he would never, ever use that spell on anyone, including Malfoy.
Now, Snape. I am serious when I say that I never thought he would kill Dumbledore. I did believe Dumbledore when he said he trusted Snape and I seriously thought that Snape was acting as a spy. And for some reason, I think that he still is. For who, I have no idea, but still.
TOM. GOD HE IS HOT. LIKE HOLY CRAP. I don't know, man. He just seems so smart and so clever and HORCRUXES. INGENIOUS. You'd make a great world leader, Voldie.
I loved his backstory! Marvolo and Merope and Morfin, so great. So ... disgusting. What was up Marvolo's ass, yes?
Inferi. I refuse to call them that. THEY ARE ZOMBIES. ZOMBIES.
Lastly, I think Slughorn is really dodgy, I am happy that Luna is there, love potions are the bomb, F&G are great, two words: WON-WON, Bellatrix/Narcissa otp, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THE ENDING. GODRIC'S HOLLOW, GO GO GO.
I think I'll post photos of me and my friend at the launch a little later. I seriously need to do homework.
RE-READING AS WE SPEAK!
